It would make BBQing easier in the winter time, that's for sure....on the fence as I'm not sure if I would actually use this all that much.

You could get some spray to combat the rust..

Fair concerns tho
Any recommendation on the spray?

Or You could just cover it in the winter to prevent rust.

I got one, buy now think later i think.

I picked up a traditional style patio heater this summer, but I think this one would be a bit better for my deck.

Does anyone know how this compares to one of those traditional patio heaters in terms of heat output?

I don't know much about them but I don't think you will find a better price. Rona and Lowe's is $621. Amazon.ca is $579. Costco.ca is $399.99.

Thanks OP. Ordered one, fingers crossed it doesn’t go “Staples” on us all.....
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten....

Yeah I was thinking about this. Haven’t located a cover that would fit this yet - have you? In any case I was thinking a spray may do a good job on moisture that may hit it when it’s not covered

Is it possible to use a natural gas conversion kit with this?

Any type of rust inhibitor would do the trick.... Lay down cardboard and give the base a spray...

Obviously storing it inside in winter and bringing out when u need is ideal too.

That's the cover they have for this unit on their website.

I think you got a good deal. Lowe's sells the same one for $69.00. I guess people could price match for an extra 10% off.
