finally got mine!

the box I got is different than yours. mine says "octane" on it.

it came in a separate box with air packs, so packaging was much better.
Thanks for letting me know I got the older model. Anyways I went today and bought the impact with the battery promo for 179.00 and will return. I will keep the newer octane version and return the non octane version since both have same sku and model number.

If you just want the jack..... Walmart sells a 3 ton basic jack that look pretty close to the same as this home depot one for $59.98 everyday without the creeper and jack stands.

At Gerrard Square, don't know anything about it, just passing along fwiw.
Would anyone know if a Montreal store would price match this but just based on photo and not a bill?

You don't need octane batteries. Any Ridgid 18V will work.

Some stores are clearing out X5 tools (generation before octane) which is 98% as good.

If not, you could buy a tool included in the current promo with the starter kit and return the starter kit. This basically make the tool 50% off.

In the state for about 262 CAD, you can get a charger, two batteries (3ah and 6ah) and get a tool of your choice (or another battery/batteries).
Considering I bought the drill for 90$, would I just be better off returning it and buying this:

https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ridgid ... 1001221496

It’s too bad as the tool only was liquidated, so would need batteries to be on liquidation and not sure when that would happen. Or this “Online Exclusive” to go on sale, which is probably not soon since they have the in store battery promo on for a while.

If you do not need a hammer drill, you can get this kit for 98$ also:
https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ridgid ... 1001127869

Like I said, the Gen5X is as good as the octane line up.

The above hammer kit you linked will probably not go on sale soon since A) this is octane, B) is an online exclusive kit, C) it has a big battery in the kit

IMHO, having 2 2AH battery is better then 1 3AH battery. They are lighter and for a drill, it'll provide pretty much the same power.

I succeeded in Pointe Claire but it really wasn't easy. I told them that Vaudreuil had the lower price and I went there to save driving all the way there. They checked with Vaudreuil and then price matched. I have to say though that I had a good sales guy to help persuade the people at the customer service counter. Without him, I probably would have failed as I doubt they would have called on my behalf..

the husky jack is garbage

no release control when you drop the jack to its lowest position

get the costco ones

torin black jack or arcan ones are much better

In case nobody's mentioned it yet. For the Rigid battery promo it's not possible to do a partial return if you order on-line. Buying the the same 2 items in-store, however, as people have mentioned you can return just the starter battery kit.

Thank you for the headship.
When you upvote my posts, this is what happens:
My wife loves me more😂, my car goes faster😎, my house becomes bigger😐, My boss gives me a raise😁.

Fact check, none of the above is valid.

Seen in Markham. I think it’s being cleared out at other stores too. Anyone have any experience with this one? Seems decent.
