Managed to get the M12 3/8" stubby for $119! Yay.
FYI, Hamilton store shows 7 in stock right now.

What's the cheapest way to get M12 batteries for it?
I picked up this hammer drill set for $149, which includes one 2.0 and one 4.0 battery with charger. I don't have much use for the hammer drill as I already have a 12V Porter Cable set for small jobs around the house. May I'll keep it.

Any cheaper way to get M12 batteries?

Having a 2.0 and 4.0 battery is ideal for the stubby IMO. You won't get the max torque out of it unless you have a 4.0 or bigger battery.

That's the one I've been looking at as well.

Yes, that's why I picked up the hammer drill kit. It may come handy for driving those fence board screws when boards fly off in storms.

Hammer drill normally refers to the ability to drill into masonry. You don't use hammer for driving screws. You want an impact driver for that.

Is this a good price for Rigid Gen5X 18V Brushless circular saw tool only? They also off it with battery for $100 more.

Pickering location.

Cdn Tire has impact socket set on sale this week. I just cannot decide which one I need for my use.

Well that's still a hammer drill kit, which is primarily for masonry. Please just clarify...... what do you want the tool you are buying to actually do?

This might be the proper tool for the task you're describing. (Driving screws into wood)

Yeah, I think you're right.

If it were my money and I had to buy something right now, I would rather buy this and get the free battery starter kit: https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ridgid ... 1001357508. Much better tool, ecosystem has more longevity.

On previous page 128, post 1907, there is a post of the gen5x saw with 6Ah battery and charger for $149. You may ask to price match with Yorkdale or went there to get one instead.

$99 is a good price for a Brushless 7 1/4" circular saw with lifetime warranty, assuming you have the necessary battery and charger.
