Pickering location.
You can get the New Octane one for 120$ taxes in after bringing back the battery/Charger

I did mention the $149 cost at a different location, but they said they wouldn’t price match another location. It’s probably very YMMV.

Thanks everyone else for the input, will hold out for a better deal or try Yorkdale for the better price.

Ah OK. I was just trying to find uses for the tool itself as I bought the kit for the batteries and charger, primarily. I'd rather have a cut off tool or multi-use tool instead of the hammer drill, but those are more expensive in a kit.
In summary, I'm looking for a cheap(er) way to get a battery kit with 2.0, 4.0 batteries and charger to get going with the stubby wrench.

What’s the refund one would get if you purchase the Ridgid 1/2 Impact for $179 with the free $149 battery starter pack and return the battery pack?

Curious in doing this and returning the battery pack in order to get the higher capacity batteries.

Should be around 81.31$ return value on the receipt. Now whether you get a CSR that will deny a return without the other item is another thing. Most of the time they dont care.

$179 + $149 = 328
149/328 = ~0.454
179 * 0.454 = $81.31 + tax

Weber Q1200 was $279 now $179

As seen at HD, Brampton South.

I picked up a black 1200 a few months ago for the same price and it has been useful when I dont want to light up something bigger.
I tried the Ancaster store and they were regular price.

Home Depot has a sale next week if you get the Ridgid hammerdrill/impact driver combo for $278 they give throw in a free set of 2x4ah batteries worth $129.

So according to my math, you can buy the set for $278... return the hammer drill/impact for $189... can keep the 2 battery pack for a total cost of $88+hst

Anyone want to split two pack of 4ah batteries for $44 each? I just want one 4ah battery. PM me if interested.

I assume the 4Ah batteries are Hyper-Li not Octane?

Actually not quite

Should be 179 / 328 = 0.546

Tool value is 179 * 0.546 = $97.73+tx
Battery/charger is 149 * 0.546 = $81.35+tx
$97.73+81.35=~$179

What are these then?
https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ridgid ... 1001214561
https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ridgid ... 1001160224

[EDIT] And on the Ridgid website:
https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/octane-18v ... ery-2-pack
https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/octane-18v ... th-battery

The two pack seems to be two of the singles, at a FAR better price.
