[Home Depot] Home Depot: slow moving clearances - Ryobi, Rigid, Dremel, Michelin YMMV

Was at the Oakville Trafalgar Home Depot tonight and they had a few items on clearance. A few examples:

Ryobi 18v Handheld Sprayer - $10
https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ryobi- ... 1001580912

Rigid Palm Nailer - $40
https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ridgid ... 1000755376

Michelin Wiper Blades - $2
Dremel attachments - $5

There were a few other odds and ends but I had to run. YMMV obviously.

I was just at the Home Depot in Bolton and they had the One+ HP brushless driver for 50% off regular price of $119 in the clearance section.

I don't think it's a hot deal, I think $60 is really what these are worth. Fair price. But I needed something better than the crappy basic one, so I grabbed it. Was the last one there, that I could see.

I think the PBLID02B is a newer model of the One+ HP brushless drivers and replaces this 50% off one.

$2 is too expensive for these Michelin wipers. I have never seen wipers so crappy. I bought a set from Amazon and after a few 3-4 months, they were done. I thought they were defective, wipers usually last much longer (I usually change every 2 years) so I sent them back and got a new set. Same crap quality, that is how they are made.

Hamilton had one Ryobi sprayer marked down, but it was around $60, rather than $10

Anyone know if the $10 Ryobi handheld sprayers are still there at the store?

When they opened the clearance centres in Vaughn they were giving those sprayers away with $50 or $60 purchase. I always regretted not getting it, and would for $10.

I don’t know what I would have used it for, but I would still buy it. Maybe wood finishes? Spraying wax on a car? Spraying water on my face in the summer?

Bummer... they had like 10 of those sprayers initially on clearance for like $80. I was watching them for weeks waiting for another price drop. Saw this post and by the time I got there, all gone.

The reviews are not the greatest, I think it has been replaced by a newer model.

Nothing goopy, these were designed for covid related activities so only a small selection of liquids can run through the machine without causing failure such as clogging.

You put anything in there that's a solvent or coating, you have a new door stopper.

PBLID02 is not a replacement. It's the "full" HP multi-mode driver. The PSBID01 is the Compact HP non-multi-mode driver. There's also the PBLID01 is the full HP w/o multi-mode.

That said, $120 - 50% = $60 which is alright if you have Ryobi stuff already. It was selling for $79 from like Jan-April with a 1.5Ah battery and charger (the SB kit version). But, if you have batteries and stuff already it's a decent deal as the 1.5Ah batteries are pretty crappy anyway.

I know Ryobi is more geared towards DIY vs Dewalt, but why do some people consider it a "lower" tier brand, their HP+ lineup of brushless tools is excellent and I have bunch of their tools, and quite honestly for my usage (not commercial), I cannot tell the difference, and ended up replacing the few dewalt 20V XR tools I had with Ryobi to consolidate my tools and not deal with different batteries.

Saw a Makita hard case kit with battery/charger, drill and driver for $150 at Saint John, NB.

Not sure of the exact model - drill was not a hammer drill version.

Looking online - thinking it may have one of these 2 kits:

Homedepot near me is trying sell them for 250 with a battery...would need to be a big battery to make that worthwhile!
