[Home Depot] HoneyWell Resideo WiFi Smart Water Leak And Freeze Detector - $22.20

Was in the market for a water leak detector and found this at Home Depot (online only). A smart water leak detector with a 3 year battery life that rings at 90 decibels, notifies you via app, and emails you (or any other email addresses) when a water leak is detected. When compared to "dumb" leak detectors at $10, this is a bargain at $22.

Received this yesterday and tested it out. Worked very well. I was notified by push / email / text / alarm.

Setting the detector up was a pain. I was having issues with the HoneyWell Home app to pair the detector, but was able to pair it with the Resideo app. The same HoneyWell Home account login works across both apps to see your devices, but the HoneyWell app has a better UI and some expanded functionality for notifying other email addresses.

Description from Site:

Leaks and frozen pipes can cause serious damage to your home. With Lyric Water Leak and Freeze detectors you can get early warning. By catching it early, you may be able to avoid expensive repairs and loss of treasured items. They can be placed near trouble spots like the sump pump, water heater, washer and under sinks. Each can be individually named and registered in the Lyric App and easily connect to your home Wi-Fi network. If a leak is detected or pipe begins to freeze, the Lyric App on your phone will alert you wherever you are.

  • Works with the Honeywell Lyric App
  • Battery operated – Lasting up to three years (Batteries included)
  • Connects to standard Home Wi-Fi directly – no need for an extra hub
  • Status LED lights and an industry leading 100 dB buzzer helps notify a leak detection
  • Temperature, Humidity and Water Leak measurement
  • 4ft cable sensor (included) can be used to extend sensor capability
  • The entire length of cable sensor detects water
  • Additional cables can be added to extend the sensor length to 500ft. (sold separately). Ideal for looping in an entire area
  • DIY installation and can be setup in minutes

Retails for $60+ on other sites:

Seems to only be available at the Leaside location. A few have had success below changing their location to Leaside (Toronto, Ontario) and having the items shipped.

Dead deal. I see 77.47$ in all the stores in a 100km radius.

Updated original post. You can add to cart and have it shipped from the Leaside location. I just had a bunch delivered to me yesterday.

Just tried adding to the cart again and I'm able to check out.

Not sure if it will work but I changed my location to Leaside, added them to cart and checked out using the shipping option and shipped it to another city.

Thank you OP. Ordered 2. My main water tap that gets water from the city line is dripping occasionally. Been a nail in my head for a while. This will help definitely

When I tested it, I was fairly impressed. You can set multiple emails and a phone number. There is no way I'd ignore / miss a leak if it successfully went off.

The app shows the battery life of the device, and allows custom temp / humidity alerts along with history.

now OOS, and not able to add it to the cart. I've been using one for about 5 years, works great.
