these cheap china metal tools will lose their teeth on anything serious like when used to take off a tie rod. these are useful only for clamping small stuff together.

Most are Chinese made, Even new made Vise Grips are junk. The only decent pair are Grip-Ons and maybe Milwaukee for a close second

Per Product Overview, these locking pliers are used to "enable hands-free operation when used as a clamp to hold two pieces of material together until they are permanently joined, or to hold materials for welding and similar applications". I don't think these pliers are intended for uses such as taking off a tire rod. Tongue & Groove Pliers may be more suitable for those applications.

In my personal experience, Husky hand tools are usually high-quality. And they have life-time warranty.

Yeah, that’s a bit unfortunate.

I wonder if these are any better than the crap Canadian Tire cheapos I have.
