[Home Depot] LG Dehumidifier on sale 50% ($225) off with price beat

Costco.ca (no membership required) has the LG UD701KOG3 70 Pint dehumidifier on sale for $249. Their regular price is $349 and it's on sale for $249.
Home Depot online and in-store will price match and BEAT by 10% The total price becomes $225. A great price for a highly reviewed dehumidifier.

Can others also comment on the quality of this dehumidifier? Thanks!

Saw the Costco price this morning (thanks to other thread about air conditioner) and thought of doing a PM at Home Depot. Went to HD (for something else) and saw the dehumidifier.

Decided to get it from Costco as I prefer their policies. Personal experience with HD returns is not as good as with Costco, plus after a certain time period, the refund is made via a store credit only.

Yes, it's $25 but for me, some things are not just about the price. To each his/her own...

FWIW...
$349 at Best Buy
$399 at Walmart, Staples

Just tried to pick up from HD at the Aurora location and the manager refused to beat the price by 10% saying Costco is wholesaler and their policy is to not match or beat anything with Costco.

How does it compare to the 70pint Danby for 179 at Costco?

HD does not typically price match Costco (aka membership stores) so YMMV I guess.

Because it's Costco.ca and no membership is required, HD should match it according to their own policy.
I understand about the better return policy at Costco though.
I've had this thing running for a week or so now and it's great. I don't think it's loud at all. There are two fan speeds.
I have it set to low, and it dried out the air in my 1200 sq ft. Finished basement in a matter of a couple days. 3 buckets of water.
My old dehumidifier that I have in the one corner of my basement doesn't ever run now. I used to have to empty the bucket every day. ( Smaller bucket on the old one)

The LG is doing an excellent job. And it looks nice too!

i tried that Danby one. Pretty useless. The humistat very inaccurate, so the unit doesn't even run, thinking the room is a lot drier than it is.
