Top freezer? What year is this?
My phone plan is $400 a month for 500 MB of data.
My internet plan is $199.99 for capped internet and slow speeds.
My credit cards are the ones with annual fees but terrible rewards.
Did I RFD correctly?

Not everyone lives in a fancy home or needs an overpriced wifi fridge ..

The OP is using this for his basement... Fits the bill if you ask me

My experience with LG fridge is very bad. Search LG compressor class action lawsuit.

Same with samsung. Mine 7 year old Samsung fridge sounds like a lawnmower, ice machine doesn't work and so on and so on. Avoid samsung and LG for appliances in my opinion; no matter what the price is.

My parents have LG washer. They've had it for over 15 years.

Top Freezer will always have more useable volume as compared to a similarly sized Bottom Freezer. I was looking for a simple refrigerator for my basement and had a limited amount of space available, I checked a lot of models and ended up buying the above LG model. It had the most room inside for it's size.

How LG Fridges Perform in CR’s Tests and Surveys

LG French-door and side-by-side refrigerators often perform well in our lab tests, but our 2019 member survey shows that LG French-doors and side-by-sides only receive Good ratings for predicted reliability.

“A Good rating on this attribute, which is the middle rating of CR’s ratings scale, means that their problem rate hovers around the average of what one should expect within the first five years of ownership for a refrigerator,” says Simon Slater, CR’s associate director of survey research. “Compared to other refrigerators we rate, it is, therefore, middling in terms of reliability.”

Our surveys also look at refrigerator problems that arise, including compressor problems. Our 2019 survey shows that LG French-doors are an outlier for compressor problems, with 8 percent of LG French-doors in our sample having such problems, compared with 3 percent of refrigerators overall. Other outliers for compressor problems include 9 percent of Bosch side-by-sides, 8 percent of Kenmore French-doors, and 8 percent of Electrolux side-by-sides.

Coast appliance price is at 1099 now. Deal appears to be dead. Not sure if anyone actually succeeded in price matching.

I got this fridge/freezer from Costco about a yr and a half ago from Costco during black Friday for $700‐800, it had worked out well with no issues. Biggest gripe with it is no traditional section for eggs on the top part of the bottom door.

Fifteen years ago Lucky Goldstar made better washers, not so much these days.

I loathe top-freezer models in the kitchen.

I love my top-freezer model in the basement bar, as I’m using it for ice more than anything else.

Different tools for different jobs, folks.

My unit failed last week. The knock-knock unit not even 2 years into existence. They had to replace all internals. A 3 hours job that otherwise is about $1000. New compressors are a tad better, but they will also fail without a warning. LG dropped the ball big time. Very nice fridge otherwise.

I had same issue with my samsung fridge and got the fan changed. Ice machine started working normally again. The technician said this is known issue and I need to get the fan changed once in 3-5 years. Costed me 300$ for repair.
