Do not buy LG, i bought dishwasher 4 months ago, some controller stop working, i am in my 5week now and they cant find parts. Heck at this moment they should replace unit, 5weeks and no dishwasher. Search LGCanada and read their review, many complains about their terrible cusomer service. I regret buying LG

Everyone said the same about Samsung. So I bought LG. It was rated better than Samsung.needsmecrdts wrote: ↑Do not buy LG, i bought dishwasher 4 months ago, some controller stop working, i am in my 5week now and they cant find parts. Sounds like a problem with your parents, not the set. Do they know you can reverse the dryer door hinge?cellnerd wrote: ↑Oh yes, this is the washer and dryer set my parents have. They placed both in the most idiotic fashion... their laundry room is super small and the washer and dryer are facing opposite the wall... but there's barely any room to stand in front of them, so when the doors swing out you have to be standing at one side.
It makes putting clothes in the dryer so irritating, and require you to be limber enough reach over the washer's door to grab clothes from it. My parents have to bend down every time, and they hate it so much. That's the problem with front loading machines. Not good for seniors or unfit individuals like me. The old 90s top loading Whirlpools they had before were way better IMO, even though they didn't have fancy-schmancy NFC and smartphone support or anything.
Why not stack them. Saves space and makes it easy to load.

If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
These are absolute garbage. My parents bought a pair with extended warranty and it started to feel like an earthquake during the spin cycle...
3rd party warranty replaced twice and then found out "thats how they are"

We had a LG fridge and it quit on us during year 1. We had to go through BBB to get it replaced. They wouldn't replace so Trail gave us an equivalent Samsung model in "exchange"engineered wrote: ↑ Sounds like a problem with your parents, not the set. Strange, ours is super quiet compared to our old Whirlpool top loader. Even the dryer is much quieter.
You need a sturdy floor and the feet have to be balanced properly.
Sadly all major brands will have horror stories. You need to go to $5k Speed Queen commercial units to get some longevity.
I do wonder if it's how people take care of them. We haven't had any failures with our Samsung fridge/stove, but it reckless relatives had their Samsung fridge fail many times.

Yeah on the highest spin setting there is a fair amount of vibration with the stacking kit. That said I was able to minimize by checking the surface with a level and reseating it slightly.
Bought this set in april 2017. Washer had issues with assembly when we got it and we had water leaks as a result. A technician came in for repair, then we had issues with the dryer which is making crazy noise if used more than 30 minutes. A technician came in after multiples calls, we've been calling since december 14th 2017, tech came home last week and we had to get to Home depot which made pressure to get someone to help from LG. Result, they are coming next week to replace the whole drum assembly. I'm not much impressed so far with this set as I had a kenmore set for more than 10 years and the washer finally had a broken drum spider support then we've decided to go with a bigger set even if the dryer was still good...
That said, both times technicians told us that they don't have much issues with LG washer/dryer set, so maybe we're not lucky... And that started with a damaged washer, had a dent in the side when opened brand new, even if the external box didn't had any damages...
We paid 1996$ + tx back then.

So of course now that ask the sales are over, my washer decides to go. So looks like the best price for the 3770 now is $1049 and for the 5000 is $1499. Has anyone seen anything better out there?

If you can wait a month or so the sales will likely be back. They seem to come every 1 or 2 months. Otherwise go to http://www.canadianappliance.ca/ and see what kind of deal they can do for you. They seem to be open to negotiation.

My two cents about CAS : went there twice and never going back again. It felt like a car dealership but without the attention. You are in your own. You need to bring all the info because they can't help you at all. The prices that they quoted me were over 300 dollars than any other appliance stores. If I were you, I'd stay away from that store. Specially from the young guy that has a picture of his newborn baby in the office. He just wants to make a lot of commission on you

Doea Bestbuy still have the 809?
