[Home Depot] Milwaukee Free Bare Tool with purchase M18 starter kit.

I searched thru the tool threads, didn’t see anyone posting about this yet. If duplicated, Admin please delete. Looking to purchase a cordless Sawzall and came across this promotion. Not a bad deal if you really need the tool to complete your DIY project.

I bought the combo tool recently for $170, is it worth paying the extra $30 for the extra tool?

$30 for a brand new brand name tool . I think it’s worth it. Can’t even get the Second hand one sold on market place or Kijiji this cheap.

It’s decent. I would chose tool instead of battery, the 2 batteries come with the kit are more than enough for a small DIY project. I had the same kit for about 2 years now, and the battery still hold charge really good.

You should add this to the title to avoid a deluge of down votes:

Misleading title. It's not free, it requires an expensive purchase of something else.

Is and XC 3.0 battery sufficient for the Fuel Sawzall or should I be doing with the XC 5.0?

I'm currently using the 2.0 or 1.5 (not sure which one) that came with my M18 drill and driver set.

XC 3.0 = 54wh and XC 5.0 = 95wh. With the XC 5.0, you have 43% more capacity. I find Sawzall/Reciporcating saw uses a lot of power so more is better.

It also depends what you want to do with the Saw. If you are pruning a tree and you don't want to keep charging the battery XC 5.0 is the way to go.

Why can’t one of the free tools be a leaf blower? Looking for one as a Xmas gift :(

They're a high demand tool, no need to put promos on them since people are buying them anyways.

That's what I bought and returned the 3ah battery for 95 dollars +tax back, making the combo cost 200 dollars.
