[Home Depot] Nest IQ Indoor Cam - $234 with Price Beat

The source has the Nest IQ Cam for $259.99 (https://www.thesource.ca/en-ca/smart-ho ... /108069685). I got a price beat with Home Depot online for $234 - a very good deal for a IQ cam!

Wow! That's a really good deal. I wish there was also a sale on the outdoor cams.

I love the outdoor cam (non-IQ), works great! Not much use for indoor cam... maybe as baby monitor

Title needs correction Next -> Nest, although everyone probably assumes Nest from the price.

Agree, I have 3 outdoor cams (not IQ), and one IQ indoor actually as a baby monitor (which works very well)

That said, I wish the sale was for the outdoor IQ cams, much more useful

How does this compare to something like the Wyze Cam which is only around 40 dollars?

Those are pretty pricey, Wyze cams are around $40 each, no subscription fees. Advantages here?

I've got several like this, access anytime from anywhere.

How do you use the iq cam indoor as baby monitor? I see review said is not so good?

I do have a iPad that I can just turn on when baby is in bedroom. But that doesn’t work well when I am sleeping and have to have iPad turn on right next to me...

Blink cam is even better imo! Is battery operated, not a eye sore to the exterior of the house, and it has free video storage

I use blink cam for front door only as it looks clean and my neighbor don’t notice it. I just hate a house with tons of camera in the exterior.

I do have one nest outdoor to my backyard and one inside my garage. I try my best to make it look good but the white colour of the camera body makes it a standout...

My outdoor Wyze is housed in a case and survived over the winter no problem. Night quality is good because I have a separate bright motion light that activates behind it (we have a Ring Pro doorbell that covers the other angle).

The have a couple of waze cams too, but the biggest con is the 7 second clip capacity for cloud storage and lack of wireless charge capability.

I use the free cloud clips as previews, if I want something more substantial I can remotely access the microSD away from home, it'll continuously record or always record a minute ahead as long as there is motion, pinch/expand the timeline.

If you mean wireless as in power, that's one thing I wanted to avoid, going up a ladder and recharging/changing batteries. However I can see someone having an issue if they have no accessible power options outside. They might put their Wyze inside and through a window like I do for my backyard.

While I feel Nest is a good choice for an outdoor cam - I struggle to see why you would want the Nest indoor cam, when Wyze does a great job at only $40 or so.
Yes there are some advantages of the Nest indoor cam over the Wyze [indoor] cam, but are those advantages worth $200?

Personally, I have a Nest outdoor cam and Wyze v2 [indoor] cam. I feel it's a good combination.

I have the Nest Door Bell and subscribed to Nest Aware. Do you know if that same subscription will work for this camera or I need another subscription?
