I really want to buy this but the battery life sounds terrible, 3 hours for full brightness is atrocious, I have cheap LED lamps that last days.

These are great. I have two with one helping to light a dark corner in a room and another as an accent piece behind a couch. Both are plugged in 24/7 and linked with other lights.

I'd consider this pretty hot at $59.99 as Hue products aren't discounted 40% normally.

I did something similar with the old Ikea PS2017 table lamp (it could use the E26 or BR30 bulb) as accent lights.

Get the one from homedepot. I have checked the manual it state that battery last 18 hrs depends on the color you are using

I keep the one I have plugged in at all times. This is a pretty good price, a pair can be placed around the TV

That's what I plan to do with the two I ordered. If that doesn't work out I'm sure I'll find some other use for them.

How are these as a work desk lamp? Like bouncing the light off the wall.

And can it be strategically placed in living room to sync with hdmi sync box? Cuz the signe is ridiculous at full price.

Do you need the hub to use this as an alarm clock to mimic the sunrise to help wake you up?
