[Home Depot] [Price Error] Ecobee All-new Smart Thermostat Premium $239 ($164 with enbridge Ontario $75 rebate)

Ecobee today officially announced its new Smart Thermostat Premium, with key new features including a premium design with higher-end materials, a larger display, a refreshed user interface, improved sensor technology, indoor air quality monitoring, and more environmentally friendly packaging.

Smart Thermostat Premium – $329.99 CAD :https://www.ecobee.com/en-ca/smart-thermostats/smart-thermostat-premium/
Smart Thermostat Enhanced – $239.99 CAD

Yesterday, just one day before the official announcement, I went to Home Depot and saw they already listed the un-announced new Smart Thermostat Premium. However, the prices are totally wrong: Home Depot is listing the premium for $239.00, and the enhanced for $329.00.

The online price is also wrong same as in-store, but only the enhanced can be found online.

It was not in stock in my store, but the customer service placed a pick up order for the incoming stock.

If you want to get one, just visit your local store and place a pick up order.

The $75 enbridge rebate can not be applied to the all new Smart Thermostat Premium yet.

15:36: It is working now. Updated the post

For those who can not find the sheet in local store, you can let the cashier scan the barcode to order one:

The $329 you see is the "enhanced" which is the cheaper version.

The premium is $239.

That's why I am saying "price error"
MSRP:
Smart Thermostat Premium – $329.99 CAD
Smart Thermostat Enhanced – $239.99 CAD

My friends have confirmed that the wrong price can be found in every store they visited this morning.
It seems to be a systemic bug.

do people change these like smartphones? I have the ecobee3, having a hard time justifying it... the alexa couldn't do it; the larger screen, doesn't ; the air pollution and CO is maybe..

I don't know how the savings you're suppose to get from a 'smart' thermostat if you need to dish our $200-300 every 3-4 years for a new model.

Don't get me wrong, this is a great deal and price error, so upvoted, but was just curious if people actually change, as I'm debating.

I saw this too as I was just at Home Depot and I was all confused since the enhanced looked worse. Not interested in buying at this time since I have a ecobee 3 lite.

IMO the metal body and glass screen looks much nicer than my current ecobee4.
It also has built-in thread hardware but not enabled.

Looks like a good deal! Too bad it can't be combined with the Enbridge $75 rebate yet.

I change phones often but still have the ecobee3 from 2015 and see no hardware let alone software improvements, the app is so dated its not even funny, and no new features added since I can remember. So ya not updating.

Agreed. Maybe for $100 I would go for an upgrade but the older ecobee do exactly what anyone needs. You don’t need to upgrade these.
