Have one of these. The 1st one lasted about 2 months before keypad started acting up - they did send a replacement out pretty fast after sending them a video of the issue.
I do notice the 2nd unit sounds totally different and responds a bit faster.
it wasn't a cold weather issue as it started to fail around November.
This model does require the connect accessory to control from outside your home network.

Any recommendations for a smart lock that can be monitored via app. and that can take a key too?

Any idea if BOTH sides are weatherproof? I know they market it as weatherproof but often that only means the keypad side.
