But this 15L one is too small to use filters for drywall etc no? I think the ridgid drywall filter only fits 18L and up?

I have a big one already but it's a pain to lug around for smaller jobs so this one fits the build with sufficient power and good price point. Not sure if it's worth the extra $ for the newer model. They have smaller filters for fine dust.

For mine is says limited stock but they had it (I bought mine almost a year ago).

They actually didn't have it on the floor but up on a shelf and I had to go ask them to bring it down (no prices on them). They had the one without the blower bags (60L) on the floor at full price ($198) so it seemed like they were hiding this model for whatever reason but same motor, same attachments, two blower bags and 7 litres smaller for WAY less $$$

**Reply looks deleted but this link shows the slightly larger vaccuum is 300% more.

Does it have a hepa filter for the smaller one or is the drywall one good enough? Does it "leak"?

Black Friday usually, and only for a week. I'm sure there will be a Home Depot thread during that time. Last year it was ~50% off for the professional 60 L with the cart handle.

So there's two different 15L 5HP vacuums being discussed here.

One is $43, the other is $98

The $98 comes with a drywall filter ($30 value), the $43 comes with a regular filter
The $98 comes with a few extra attachment and a carrying case for the attachments
The $98 also has wheels

Any other differences?
Are the filters compatible between them?

One other option to consider:
The 23L 3HP Shop-Vac from Rona ($52 or $42 after coupon)

The upside of the Shop-Vac is that the drywall filters are 1/3 the price of the Ridgid ($21 for a pack of 2: https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/shop ... p.html#srp)

I have had this vacuum for about 7-8 years (I think). Great vacuum, powerful. Filters are washable but will eventually wear out.

One thing: upgrade to this hose if you can find it on sale, it is far better (more flexible, less abrasive, longer): https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ridgid ... 1000141960

There is also a shorter and less expensive version available in the US: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-1-7- ... /205576957

the huge capacity units often goes on sale for a steal.
the question is, do you have the floor space for it? or can you shove it up in an overhead shelf?
