[Home Depot] Ridgid 2HP Router kit $102 GTA YMMV

Saw this today in-store today at Curity (GTA) for $102. Shows up at this price online if you select Curity as the store as well.

I picked one up at Ancaster last time they had it on for $79. Haven't used it yet, but given the build quality... I highly doubt you can buy a new router that will be better than this one at this price.

Ridgid 2HP Router

As usual, YMMV on PMing at other HD stores. It's generally $248 at most other stores.

How were you able to pm with it being OOS?
I spoke to the manager and said it just recently ran out of stock. He checked the stock history for Curity and was nice enough to go through with it.

Smaller routers are also called trim routers and have 1/4" collets. The name comes from being used to trim laminate edge banding i believe. They're commonly used for rounding over and chamfering edges they're not limited to those task of course, I've seen them used to rough out window openings on sheathing.

big routers have 1/2" collets as standard but can also downsize to 1/4". You won't find large diameter bits in 1/4" size, only 1/2" (raised panel bit). More powerful routers are able to maintain their speed better during cuts. More expensive routers also vibrate less.
