I saw them setting up a large area in my local HD and all the other main tool supplier were having a similar promotion. Ryobi, Milwaukee and Dewalt. Didn't see the start date though.

I really wish it was an octane deal they had going on. I’ve got 4 of the 4aH already but am eager to get some octane as I have a bunch of octane tools already. I’d love a 6aH for my SDS drill. Fingers crossed that’s the next promo after this one.

Exactly. They should have offered 9ah octane battery kit for $199 instead

Pretty lame, pricing it same as Milwaukee for their regular kit

Indeed. I’d be all over a 9aH. Sure it wouldn’t be my every day go to battery but definitely one I want to have for applications when I’m using the SDS a lot.

I saw it in store and picked up the battery pack and circular saw because ridigid is the only company offering a 7.25” saw on promo right now. the ryobi deal seems a lot better with the TWO batteries and circular saw as well as being about $30 cheaper but its only a 6” saw and 4ah batteries vs. A 5ah battery.

Gave a thumbs up as its not a bad deal but not a ‘steal’ like most folks are looking for here. I’m mostly ryobi myself but the qualify of the Ridgid tool was immediately apparent to me when i held them.

All that being said, I’m going to keep mine in returnable condition until i see how the rest of Black Friday shakes out.

My thoughts exactly... I'm hoping the Ryobi brushless circular saw is a decent price for BF. I already have a 4 and 5 amp Ryobi battery... The Ridgid circular saw does look nice. It's just more expensive because I'd have to keep the ridgid 5 amp battery since I only have 2x2.5 am Ridgid batteries at the moment

What would be the price of the multi-tool after returning the battery pack?

Stocked up on tools during the last Ridgid deal but could use the 5ah battery. Shows unavailable in my area though. Hopefully that changes.

so a brushless octane rigid impact 1/2in WRENCH with 9Ah battery will 100% take off 99.9% of lugnutz on a car right?

You shouldn’t have an issue with seasonal tire changes unless you’re driving something very large

You don't need 9ah, 4ah is more than enough. Even 2ah will do it but it struggles.

I got this with the multi tool.
Wondering if I should return the battery.
I have 2 x 2ah but don't have any tools that really would require the 5ah. (multi tool, drill, driver). My jigsaw, circ saw are wired.
Any chance we get a better deal with ridgid batteries for BF?

Edit: I am hoping to snag a 1/2 impact wrench in the future

There's none of the 5.0 battery anywhere around here at the moment, so can't benefit from the offer regardless.

But if anybody gets on that deal for the battery I can pay them the max refund value on the grinder or sawzall... plus a few $. I can pick up anywhere around or between Kingston ON and Victoriaville Qc.
I don't need the battery, just want the cordless grinder / upgrade my recip saw. Even if battery show up here, my store won't do partial return. Thanks

I have the 3/8 subcompact impact and with a 2ah it is a beast and takes off lug nuts easy. I even used it to remove seized brake caliper bolts where it struggled for a few minutes of continuous use but still was able to do it. Unless the 1/2 has less torque I'd say 2ah is perfectly fine.

Got the 5ah kit with the multi tool.

Debating if I want to keep the 5ah... Or wait for an octane battery deal...

Don't have any high capacity batteries at the moment but haven't switched over my dewalt tools yet.

Battery kit at $108+ tax... (Used $10 email signup coupon)

What would be the return value of the battery if I bought the circular saw? I already got batteries from the last promo (2x2ah) and they are sufficient for now until I find an octane battery promo.

Multi tool works out to $85.20
Circular saw, jig saw, angle grinder, or reciprocating saw works out to $91.39
Router works out to $92.83

if you return the free tool than:
return the multi tool battery works out to $113.80
