Hmm.. to buy into yet another new system or not. I probably should jump on the Ryobi system first.

Choose a main system and get adapters. I run 1 set of batteries set (Ridgid) and I am invested in 4 different brands (Ridgid, Makita (lawn mower), DeWalt (heat gun and pole hedge trimmer) and Milwaukee (M18 Fuel 10" Miter Saw)... never had an issue and my batteries are LSA!

I am looking for an adapter. Ridgid batteries and Dewalt tools. Where to find them?

I get mine from dawupine on AliExpress. I actually buy really often from him and do drop shipments. If you want to buy it yourself:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001333079762.html

and choose ARB18DWL

Is there a Ridgid to ryobi? Thanks for the link but I can’t seem to find one that goes that direction.

He doesn't produce Ridgid to Ryobi. I will be making them soon, still a prototype. In the mean time, there's someone on eBay from China who sells 1 or 2 at a time

I need to pick up a jigsaw for maple hardwood floor cutting pieces.

My jigsaw is only 2.2amp and barely cuts.

I wonder weather the ryobi corded or the cordless jigsaw be better?

Seems like no stock in BC for the 5 amp battery.
Oh well saved me $
Can always buy Milwaukee battery with free tool and an adapter from that to Ryobi is easy to buy.

If you buy the circ saw and the Hammer Drill/Impact Driver Combo (https://www.homedepot.ca/product/1001559851), what would the return value be for the drill/driver combo? How do you calculate it?

I'm debating doing the same. I believe it breaks down like this:

Price: 299
Drill combo = 299/(299+169)*299 = 191
Circular saw = 169/(299+169)*299 = 108

If you found a store with the batteries it would work out to cheaper once you returned the battery:

Price:199
Battery = 199/(199+169)*199 = 108
Circular saw = 169/(199+169) = 91

Still holding out hope for the brushless Ryobi circular saw to go on sale

Thanks!

Can you buy the battery/free tool online and return the battery in store?

No. Everything has to be done in store.

My understanding from what others have said is no. It doesn't show the return values on online orders so you can't return part of the deal.

Thanks to you both. Could you do a return/re-buy if it was still within the promo period?
