A good sign that spring is around the corner, Home Depot is kicking off the usual RIDGID tool / battery starter kit promo. Starts today (March 3rd), and there are pics in the weekly flyers as well.
As noted in the latest weekly flyer, some price increases are incoming (and noted below). There's always a chance that other prices may increase that aren't published in advance, so if you've been meaning to make a purchase now is not a bad time.

Points for discussion:
- One of the main draws of this promo is the ability to return the battery kit to lower the overall price paid for the tool. However, there were / are reports that Home Depot is cracking down on this, so would appreciate any reports on success / failure.
- If pursuing the return, best practice is to not show the receipt but just present the battery kit with your credit card -- they can look up the CC and issue the return without the receipt. I've had a lot of success with this method but it may depend on store or agent. Note: this only works for in-store purchases, and not online purchases.
- What tools are you getting? The brushless 6-1/2" circular saw is a brand new release, and I'm keen on picking one up.
- Don't forget to register your purchases for Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA) within 90 days. LSA also covers batteries against diminished capacity which a is a great benefit of going with RIDGID.
