If you are referring to the Best Buy set, it is $51 more. Both sets have an extender so the differences are an extra motion sensor and keypad. It also only has 3 contact sensors whereas the HD set has 4. Still a better choice over the HD set provided you will actually use the extras.

Can I some how diy the existing (tradional monitoring system) alarm pin pad wiring to power this?
Just realized it needs power :) and don’t prefer wire running down to the receptacle.

Markham, ON
If anyone is thinking of returning their kit in Markham/Richmond hill/Stouffville area, I’m interested in buying it at cost off you :) I’ll pick it up.

Ordered mine August 3. So far, HD still hasn’t shipped it (apparently it’s back ordered, although I did see a bunch in stock at my local HD store last weekend). They have however been “spamming” my Visa with $200 pre-authorizations (not charges) every 5 days... currently have $600 preauthorized from them in total, which would be annoying for someone with a lower credit limit.

I thought pending transactions don't count against your limit..

Either way, hope you get your items.
