[Home Depot] Ryobi 1800 PSI Pressure washer $98

Just noticed that the Ryobi 1800 PSI Pressure washer washer is on sale down to $98 From $148. This is the new upgraded model from last year’s 1600 PSI version. It got some nice reviews and seems to be a nice a compact unit. I watched a few youtube videos on this new unit as well as last year’s and overall people really like it. This obviously doesn’t compared to a gas unit but for some light duty applications around the house this is a good deal.

I ordered one online for in-store pickup. I was going to get in on the Kobalt PW deal at $89 (Lowes/Rona) but i rather pay a few dollars more for the longer warranty (3 years vs 1 with the Kobalt)

Didn't need it, but got it anyway.

Others can chime in but I've read for soft wood above 1000/1200 is not recommended.

1800 should be plenty.

Thanks OP just ordered one. I was waiting on a deal on pressure washers after mine started leaking late last summer.

Is this strong enough for a foam canon?

A little something about the warranty from personal experience. My 1600psi wand broke in year 2 and the service Centers for Ryobi, at the one I went to in Montreal, has the worst customer service I’ve ever had. Long story short, the warranty only covers the motor. Everything else has a 90 warranty. Plus, you better keep a copy of your receipt, else you’re SOL. With all the hassle, I just bought another wand for like 1/3 of the price of the washer. It’s been good since.

Picked one up last year. Good little machine. I think it’s a good deal for $98.

Correction : the Kobalt is covered by a 3 years warranty as well. Just checked the Reno-Depot website for it.

So, consensus is the Ryobi over the Kobalt?

This doesn’t have a low pressure soap applicator; does it matter?

Hmmm I think the kobalt one came with a foam attachment? Where's this one and how much, does anyone know?

From looking at the US website, it looks like there’s a port for soap injection (what the blue connector with clear hose is used for)

Update: got one in Guelph - the price didn't ring up correctly so just keep an eye out! They adjusted the price after I showed them the webpage.

It does have it, the soap nozzle is listed in the description and you can see the soap/chemical pickup in the pictures.

I have the older 1600. Great little unit.

Does the length of the water hose you use matter if I plan on using this with a foam cannon?

This looks like a nice little deal to have around the house.
