[Home Depot] Ryobi 18V ONE+ 6 Ah Battery (1 Pack) $47.4 & 18V ONE+ 4 Ah Batteries and Charger Kit (2 Packs) $79 (YMMV)

I found some good deals on Ryobi Batteries today, however website still show full price, so this could be YMMV
This is at Bradford, ON location
By the time I left, there are still two 6 Ah battery left, and about 20 boxes of the 4 Ah starter kit on the shelf
This location also has the $79 hammer drill and $79 impact driver in stock, all brushless
3 speed impact wrench at $115
Attached receipt if it helps

$78.98 RYOBI 18V ONE+ Starter Kit with (2) 4.0 Ah Batteries and Charger --- Model # PSK003

Now folks, just curious what's your opinion, is it better to get two 6 Ah at $95, or the two 4 Ah kit at $79? Major difference between 6 Ah and 4 Ah? TIA!

6ah batteries are HP which have the extra contact points for the HP eligible Ryobi tools. More powwwaaa.

IMO. At this price. I would get the 6ah.

6ah batteries are too heavy for handhelds like drill or driver. 4ah battery is the most commonly used and versatile in all tools. If you're using it for bigger stuff then 6ah HP is the way to go.

Yeah 6 Ah is only for high energy drain tools.
Pourquoi pas?

What about the 4ah? Is it regular or clearance price there?

What is the production date of the 6ah batteries, are these old stock?

I'd be interested in another 6ah for my brushless one+ mower. Unfortunately I think you can only find the date code as part of the serial number. If OP can report they are newer stock that would help.

Oh btw, have you ever tried 4 Ah battery with your mower, I also have a mower and I only used 4 Ah battery with it, wondering how big is the difference when using 6 Ah battery

My mower came with 2x4ah batteries which I've used, I prefer the 6ah for extending the run time. It doesnt feel like 50% more runtime though...the fact the 4 and 6 use the same number of cells is suspicious. I believe the HP batteries can boost power when needed so when 4ah batteries may stall out the 6ah batteries will keep it moving.

I got a 6Ah HP battery today at Calgary Country Hills location.

They had about 4 or 5 of the 6Ah HP batteries visible, and their stock indicates 10 available. They're hanging on a hook display and there's no price label, so maybe that's why they're still well stocked. Yes, it scanned at $47.40.

I got it to go with the Ryobi HP Impact Driver from another recent thread.

Thanks OP!
