[Home Depot] RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium-Ion Cordless 10-inch String Trimmer and Blower Kit with 2.0Ah Battery and Charger $108

Normally $148. Seems like a good deal. Ordered one as I'm sick of mixing gas for my 2 stroke!

I have the trimmer. It's pretty good, although the plastic 'cutter' for the rope isn't as good as the higher trim. So much more reliable than a gas one though.

I wish you luck. I don't know anything about this model, but I went with (a different) battery powered last summer (or maybe even the summer before...) and it's just so awesome! Love cordess/fueless.

Such a good experience

Is this same as the black &decker 18v system? If so, don't buy it. It is underpowered.

I bought this the other week, it's great for my smaller yard.. plenty of power... but I don't have dense brush to cut through, which would require one of the 40v trimmers.

I went for a 40v timmer a few days ago (waiting for it to be delivered) and I already have a 40v blower (all Ryobi too). also have cordless brushless 40v chainsaw - works very very well. and the self propelled 40v lawn mower.

I doubt it, I use mine for semi-dry cut grass from concrete. Depends on the leaf I guess.

I've been using the Ryobi 18V trimmer for a couple years now, excellent trimmer - Light and easy to use. I have a regular sized suburban yard and the charge on the battery lasts about 3 full uses. I've used the B&D system, this is significantly better.

Heads up. I have been following this exact set for weeks and it's a great price. But reviews of the blower is that it doesn't blow very well. And this trimmer is one that pushes the line out EVERY time you start and stop the trigger to spin the trimmer. Goes through lines pretty fast unless you walk around with the trigger held down most of the time? lol Having said that, for light jobs, this blower + trimmer is a great deal as it comes with a battery.

I think it depends on how often you use it and what kind of yard you have if it suits your yard. For me this wouldn't even touch my property, got to much going on for this little guy, but if I had a little 1/5th acres cornet lot this would be fine

My neighbour purchased this combo.

Trimmer is quite decent.

Blower a little weak. I guess it doesn't really matter if it is just blowing away the grass clippings on the driveway.

I thought about it but still ended up replacing my 6 year old corded Toro (bought for $55+taxes used 6 years, sold for $55 on Kijiji a couple weeks back) and went to get the same model again.

Prefer to have the capability of the edger. And it's powerful and slightly larger at 14". I've been using a corded lawnmower and corded Trimmer since the 1980s. Never once did I cut the extension cord. Besides, it constantly feeds enough umph!

I would recommend this combo especially if you have other Ryobi tools with a weaker battery.

Would it be hard to just feed it back in? Also don't want the wire you cut your leg lol...

I went to get this a few days ago, at that time HD website title said with 1.5A battery, now it says 2A, also no where on the box it said the battery capacity, just that its 18v. Ended up not buying it when I compared it with the other 18v Ryobi trimmer and I did not need a blower so thought I'd wait for the upgraded trimmer to go on sale.

I actually do that on mine - I found it doesn't impact battery life at all to just keep it spinning as I do the whole yard and just start/stop only when I need more line. That being said, gotta make sure you stay focussed on it as it does add an extra element of danger if you're walking around with it spinning and not cutting!

This combo goes on sale every year. I bought one back in 2017. Battery died at the end of 2nd season but they have a 3 year warranty so shipped me a brand new one.
10/10 on service/warranty,
7/10 on actual product.

For those who bought this, did you grt 2 blower tubes to assemble out the box? I was missing the lower blower piece per the manual. Took it back to HD to exchange and of course they had none left. But then i noticed how the lower blower piece is not shown on the picture on the box or the display unit at HD. Super weird. Of course the kids at HD had no clue. Called Ryobi CS and they're shipping it to me.
