[Home Depot] RYOBI 20-inch 40V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Push Lawn Mower w/ 5.0 Ah Battery & Charger - $358 IPU only

Was looking for a new lawn mower and wanted to get a rechargeable one as I don’t want to deal with gas and oil changes so I go this great deal for a cordless rechargeable lawn mower. I picked this up from Aurora yesterday and they only had 4 left

Looking for cordless lawn mowers as well but have little/no knowledge on this. Is this a good deal?

Bought this mower and trimmer/edger set last year and love it

Light weight
Easy to store
Good battery life
Easy height adjustments

Only downside is that 5ah takes some time to charge. That said I have a 40 by 90 lot and will get 3 cuts per charge on both front and back

Price isn't to shabby

I just finished the front and back yard and this one works great. I even had 70% battery left after completion. It’s much quieter and super easy to start. No pulling the string, no messy gas refills.

I've also owned this for a year and I've been happy with it. $358 is a very good price.

Just want to understand the concept here; u got an adaptor to use Rigid battery on a Makita machine?

You can get adapters from ebay or amazon. Majority of power tool brands are actually all under the same parent company. Same battery tech, and same components.

This year's model with the 6 Ah battery was $348 during the spring event. Now I can't lend anybody a time machine to get it that cheap, and it is back to$398 now.... but $358 for the old model with a smaller battery doesn't seem like a great deal to me.

im struggling with what to buy, I have a worx blower and I lost the charger, so I have been leaning towards the worx for 399 from Canadian tire. so many to pick from and a lot of different price ranges.

Bought this 2 years ago @ $296, works great for my needs. Not a huge lot but I can mow the whole front/back and still have 1 cell left of battery. The folded storage option makes it very easy to keep in my garage without taking a lot of space.

I cannot mow my 2500+ sq foot lawn with one charge, how are you guys doing yours? The 5ah batteries are so expensive.

Aliexpress has 40v batteries but I'm afraid of getting junk cells.

What height are you going at it with? And are you doing it when wet ?

I find wait till it dries which is usually afternoon and or if long you start at a higher height and take two passes reducing to the desired on the second one

Great price for this mower. I got mine halfway through last summer for around the same price.

I picked up the 40v leaf blower too, so now I have 3ah and 5ah 40v batteries.

I've got a 50x100 lot and this can do 2 cuts on a single charge.

I've had mine for 3 years, 30x30 front yard and a little bigger in the back. I can do both twice before a charge, but you just charge it after each use and you're fine. Compared to gas it's whisper quiet, but in reality it sounds like an electric buzz. My neighbours always mention how quiet it is. Very light, no fluids so I store it upright, and up on a shelf in the winter...battery inside of course. Never run out of gas or oil...never would go back, I even bought their trimmer that uses the same battery...it's a little louder.

I've always used gas lawn mowers. what kind of maintenance is required on electrical ones? i'm assuming blade sharpening but anything else? considering it as i hate dealing with the mess of changing the oil and fueling it up..
