[Home Depot] Ryobi 40v trimmer blower combo $198

Not sure if this is good or not. But 40v combo less than $200 with 4ah battery seems decent deal

Funny, stocktrack shows plenty in my area but with an OOS status...
Also, is it me or this is regular price?
One good point is it's 5 years warranty.

That being said, I posted a similar deal this summer and peoples said it was merly warm.

Nevertheless, thanks for posting the deal.

Yea I can't choose pickup in store on the website.

That why I just bought a set ship to my home instead.

What is the general consensus on battery operated lawn stuff like this? I have always been advised to purchase gas powered (ie. Stihl) but this deal seems really nice and 40v seems pretty powerful.

I’ve been using a 20v Canadian tire trimmer for 5 years now and I want to get a gas one , but this thing won’t die !

I do have to charge it for a bit to finish my yard (60x180) but it still rips along .

The 40V mower is more than sufficient for typical urban lawn (GTA). Even my 24V B&D could do the job but in wet spring I would cut 2x/week .
The 18V trimmer is great most of the time but I have a corded one that comes out a couple times a season. Maybe the 40V would be the sweet spot.
The 18V blower is perfect for dusting the patio, deck, drive and walk areas. I would go with the 40V though and ditch my corded one too.
Just my experience...

More powerful blower.
The head on the trimmer has a tendency of breaking and isn't replaceable, the motor is on the head and you have to smack it on the ground to get the string to come out, guess what's going to happen if you smack too hard?
I was thinking of getting it but decided not to.

40v isn't that powerful, 80v is, but it should be good enough for most people. Also i noticed a lot of these battery operated lawn tools are built from plastic, while gas powered ones usually have more metal and are stronger.

I have a 50 cm ~4 years old 40V Ryobi lawn mower and I'm very satisfied with it (medium size yard). Not sure I'll recommand a 18V lawn mower but a trimmer no problem.

Already have a 18v ryobi trimmer..but was looking to invest in buying the battery operated lawn mower and since i sold my dewalt blower ( so i can complete my ryobi collection)

Went to home depot..they had a similar promotion same price but trimmer says 12" when the op says 13" ... so i ended up ordering it online

Thanks OP...also bought a ryobi 20" brushless self propelled 40v lawnmower with 5 ah battery for $300
