If you read the reviews, most complaints were about not able to use the app to control the opener. I believe that was due to poor Wi-Fi in the garage. My router is in the basement, 20 feet from the opener, so I have no problem. The opener works fine without Wi-Fi, and the range of the RF remote is decent.

I have the 2hp model for around 2 months, works great and is very quiet. The reviews worried me too but once i figured out the setup process everything worked great after.
There's a trick to getting past the setup process
1) Make sure your ssid/network is not hidden
2) Make sure you're using a 2.4ghz network
3) Make sure location/gps is turned on
4) If you use multiple ssid/networks, forget them in your phone and use only one, otherwise during the setup process if it reconnects to a different ssid/network it wont finish connecting.

I bought this and am going to be returning it back to Mississauga South Home Depot. If anyone wants it for cost, PM me. Or they can wait until I return it and buy it at Home Depot.
