A regular shovel will work at your speed. These things require you to slow down and work at the speed the motor can handle. Plus the width per pass is much less.

Some of us are lazy. But joking aside, i bought it for my parents cause I don't want them using a manual shovel at their age. Its only a small area they need to use this.

Thanks OP, ordered one for a friend for Xmas. She only has a 2 ft wide walkway to clear and I'm sure this will help lessen her stress. The average 15-20 min battery life should be sufficient.

I thought about a corded one but dealing with a cord seems like a pain in the ass.
