I got the one in link for $100. Reg. Price is $468. LINK is for reference, it's still $199 online.

I tried and they would not budge.

The store manager said the person probably got a damaged item (i'm pretty sure your tree is fine)...what a lame excuse.

My local HD store for the past few Christmas seasons has not reduced Christmas lightning etc. more than about 50% then many things get packed up and put away without any further reductions.

At one time, my local HD would continue discount reductions on Christmas season items until everything was gone. I guess they must have a really large storage area in the back of the store to save Christmas items for next year

My local stores were OOS but picked up a similar one linked below that has fewer LEDs/tips but LEDs are controllable/configurable by an app. The novelty made it worth the extra $50 for me

The one I got looks to be manufactured similarly - putting the 3 parts together was super easy and didn't require extra work connecting the LEDs between the different sections. The LEDs were super bright but luckily for my tree I was able to tone it down. Pretty happy with it overall.
