[Home Depot] TOTO Entrada Elongated 2pc Toilet 1.28GPF $270

Hi all,

I just did all the research and bought a toilet. Didn't think to post the deal but someone else posted a toilet deal so why not.

This is the best deal for a very high quality toilet out there. Lowes sells this toilet for $465 and in general it's just almost impossible to find a TOTO for less than $400.

My BIL is a master plumber and advised me that TOTO is the brand to trust for best construction, longevity and flush. For a basement toilet without much gravity to help out I was very happy to find this.

You'll need to get a cheap lid for it (I splurged for $90 Toto seat that may have been a waste of money, haha). Also Costco sells the TOTO Washlet heated bidet seat for $460 if you are feeling luxurious: https://www.costco.ca/toto-washlet-bide ... 18646.html

PS: For women or children without "junk" the round version is even cheaper at $245: https://www.homedepot.ca/product/toto-e ... 1001189110

Edit: there is also $10 cheaper from this retailer https://plumbingonline.ca/products/toto-cst244ef-01

I don't know how good this is.. most of rfd crowd here settled on the Drake or Drake 2 ...

I have a Carlyle in the MBR ensuite and love it.
Since I want 1 piece or the other bath I have an ultramax 2 on order...

Let us know how you like it.

Will do. The Drake and the Entrada have identical bowls and pretty much same flushing mechanism apparently. Drake 2 has the cyclone thing though right?

How can you say this toilet is better than another brand without any specific details about why it’s better? I own Kohler and have purchased 3 toilets all cheaper and without the added cost of buying a lid. I got two of the Kohler on clearance for 130 each.

Dual flush would be a nice feature to have at this price range considering it doesn’t even come with a lid.

Home Depot also sells this 7,000 Kohler if anyone is interested Lol https://www.homedepot.ca/product/kohler ... 1001157862

Designed for longevity with no design flaws (there are many with toilets).

And here is a 96 page document outlining performance of hundreds of toilets. Entrada scores 1000g flush rating despite being 'entry level' and using low flush amount.

The $7000 Kohler you posted as a joke has the same measured performance as this $270 TOTO.

This is where you say "touché" and upvote me.

It's a Toto. Between the brand name and how anal (haha) Japanese are about making a quality product, this thing is a steal. Kohler isn't even in the same ballpark; sorry you paid for a Kohler.

So that's all I need to do for a toilet in a basement that doesn't work well? I moved into my house abotu 3 year ago and the toilet in the basement only gets used for #1's because it's not really powerful enough for #2's. So, we hardly use the basement bathroom. It's a house form the 70's. Will buying this toilet fix that issue or is it a plumbing problem? I've tried drano and all that stuff and nothing has made it better.

The Entrada is a great toilet. I installed one at my cottage 6 years ago and have never used a plunger on it.

One bathroom cottage and we've had as many as 7 people up there for days at a time including lots of TP happy kids.

I got mine for $199 from Tapworks on Kingston Road back then. It was an advertised deal on Kijiji, and came with the soft-close seat as well. Was an amazing deal then. $270 for the Entrada now is good value even without the seat.

Hard to know for sure if without checking the lines but if the toilet is bad this should fix it.

Apparently it's completely out of stock at HD, supplier isn't manufacturing it anymore. (It's showing out of stock for elongated, and the round one still seems like you can buy, but it won't actually ship)

A really good price, will probably end up going to Home Comfort Center for it.

Great customer service at plumbingonline.ca. I purchased three Toto toilets in 2017. I didn't realize one was broken until I opened the boxes, a month after they'd been delivered. The company shipped a new toilet the day after I sent pictures of the broken one.

The one we're discussing is great. 6 years and no maintenance. That being said, I have two Kohler Bancroft toilets in my house, and 10 years later haven't replaced any parts.

So I don't know what sort of toilets you've been buying, but I'd stop buying them.
