[Home Depot] Velvet Weighted blankets (15lbs) YMMV

Found these at Brampton North location in the clearance isle by the cashiers.

Not sure if it is good deal or not and if it’s location specific, hence YMMV

Edit: courtesy @toronto_slim Saw these at the Warden & Ellesmere store in Scarborough yesterday further marked down to $19.99. They had a big display in front of the cash registers.

Question: I always wondered how do you wash these type of blankets?

Spot wash or put a duvet cover over it and wash that.

Saw these at the Warden & Ellesmere store in Scarborough yesterday further marked down to $19.99. They had a big display in front of the cash registers. They had a noticeable smell - maybe that goes away after they're aired out?

This is great information. A picture would have helped to price match these at other locations. Looks like HD is getting rid of these desperately.

I think these were the same ones I posted a few months ago, they were on clearance for 14.97. I bought two last time, they're holding up pretty well

Edit: looks like similar products, but not the same colour as the one I posted.

Don’t clean at home if you have a top loader. Even if you have a front loader, weary to put something so heavy. May be best to bring to laundry mat. But what are their policies if you break the machine???

I use similar 20lb blankets when sleeping, makes me feel I'm even working out during sleep, helps me grow more muscles

I dont reccomend putting them in dryer. When washing it. Put on gentle cycle warm water and to dry it hang dry it with a fan blowing on it. I got mine last year. And still good till this day

Has anyone checked in Alberta/Edmonton? I'd love one but I don't really want to go out in -35C weather just for a chance haha.
