[Home Depot] YMMV - EGO 16” chainsaw bare tool only $248 (Clearance)

EGO CS1600 16” chainsaw bare tool only. On clearance for $248 vs $328, cheaper than the 14” version. Does not come with battery so only makes sense if you are already in their ecosystem. Unfortunately batteries not on clearance.

Home Depot no longer has ego products on their site (anyone know why?). Hope they still carry ego products these are my favourite battery yard tools. Clearance location is Winnipeg empress location.

EGO products will be moving to Lowes in the Fall.

Is this the same reason Costco stopped carrying them ? Also being Lowes exclusive sounds like a poor business decision on ego's part

Surprised they dropped Ego. Have the 650cfm leaf blower with 5ah battery - the thing is insanely good. That video makes a good point about HD having a void now to fill. I know other companies make decent battery outdoor power equipment but there's reasons why people choose it over other brands.

Will keep an eye out for clearance deals although my HD never seems to have much on that front.

Love my self propelled 21 inch ego mower with 7.5Ah battery. I've always been a cordless electric guy, I hate maintaining and running gas engines... The EGO is the best I've ever had (I got it about half off years ago).

I'm not that excited about a 25% discount though, will hold out for better.

I didn't see it in store, my store had them for $239 in Ottawa. However I saw another thread and someone posted the battery for $159.

Dang.... I just got a string trimmer last month.... I’ll probably have to go in store to check if they are on sale to get a price adjustment.

Might be a HD decision. remember, they are most probably trying hard to push their own brands: Ridgid, Ryobi,
Maybe HD offered EGO such a bad deal that they were virtually forced to find another one.

Personally, I don't understand the exclusive vendor strategy.

I'm not happy about EGO moving to lowes because we don't have them in Québec and we don't know if Rona will carry the brand.

Agreed, their leaf blower is very good. I use it year round, even to blow light snow off the cars.

Called my local store where I bought the trimmer. Price for the trimmer/battery/charger combo is still the same
