[Home Depot] YMMV - Local Clearance Snow Shovel (Ryobi, Toro) $100

This is super YMMV but I went to my local HD in southern ontario yesterday and they had two open box snow shovels. Ryoby Expandit 40v Tool+Battery+Charger and Toro Tool only. They were both over $300 originally on clearance for $100. I couldn't decide which to get so bought both. You may want to check your local stores.

dhomas wrote: Since you bought both, can you either post the SKUs or a photo of the receipt so others can try to find these in our local stores?

For example, is this the Ryobi model?

No, I shared the link above. For $100 I got
1) HP drive
2) battery
3) charger
4) attachment

Would the receipt help convince some store managers to maybe match? Sure, I can black out the personal info and share

elfion wrote: which details? the store I went to doesn't have them anymore, I took the only two that were on clearance. do you need the models?

Voilà!

Now we can StockTrack them to see if there is any local stock:

https://stocktrack.ca/?s=hd&sku=39909
https://stocktrack.ca/?s=hd&sku=1001649793

Keep in mind that StockTrack prices are not always the process that will scan in-store for HD.

Nothing around Montreal, unfortunately.

Thanks OP!

Sharing receipt if that helps in convincing some other stores to match the clearance offer

1) Please post receipt!

2) Exact location with GPS directions.

3) Aisle location, steps from parking lot, and a call from you confirming stock.

4) Name, number, and title of store employee who gave you a price adjustment, as well as notifying them I'm on my way.

5) If I can't get the deal after this, I'm giving thumbs down on this thread.

6) I'm giving you thumbs down anyways cuz you didn't PM me immediately after coming across this deal and confirming my ability to access it before posting it to the greater RFD community.

7) I might reconsider if you get on a video conference call with a Lowes manager and help me convince them to substitute a different item at a better price.

8) Bring your truck / rent a van so we can take it to my home. I'll be using public transit cuz, well, the price of gas...

9) Too bad we can't downvote individual posts anymore, cuz I'd downvote this post as I'm typing it...

Have got this 2-years ago $75 clearence from HomeDepot, 2 times !! Decide to bought the other one just for parts, only one battery.

YMMV for sure but you cant go wrong even at $200+ Cant compare with any other shovel

Is this a good alternative to a snow thrower for a 2 car drive way in GTA?

The Ryobi isn't carried in store so it's likely a return or an order that wasn't picked up

Will be next to impossible to find in store.

OP said "they had two open box"

if they are opened/used returns, no surprise $100 clearance at a non-GTA store.

not sure if that <A> means something on the receipt though.
