[Home Depot] YMMV Ryobi 18V Home Starter Kit - $74 or Ryobi Drill Kit - $79

Warm deal, depending on your needs.

Stumbled across the following clearance deal. It was perfect for me because i simply wanted a battery and charger for the brad nailer at the lowest cost possible.

Comes with the compact 1.3ah battery, a charger, which is all i really cared for. But you get the basic drill and some other things that most would already have, like a hammer, measuring tape, etc.

I found it at the Oakville Bristol Circle location. There was still 8 boxes left.

Edit: just noticed this alternative that appears to be widely in stock for $5 more if you can't find the above or don't care for the extra stuff. It also has a 1.5ah battery instead of 1.3ah in the above kit.

I saw this too at my local HD. Not bad, but one would still need to buy a bit set and maybe a few more manual tools (ie screwdriver/socket/wrench kit) to round out their tool set.

Good idea for a gift, but otherwise I believe an impact and a drill is only $84 and a better option.

I picked one up last week in St. John's to keep at my business rather than hauling my drill and hammer back and forth all the time. Not a bad little set for $75. I couldn't get over how small the charger was compared to my other one.

That was the thing, i've been searching with the help of stocktrack for any of the old clearance kits and everything else was out of stock. There was the same drill with battery and charger for $60 something but no stock anywhere. Didn't even know the above kit existed. $74 for battery and charger is the lowest i could find.

Don't really need a driver and impact, nor do i have plans to get other tools in the eco system - just the brad nailer. Otherwise, some of the other current kits would be better value with some extra tools. But everyone's situation is different.

I was thinking the same thing... I've been eying that Ryobi Airstrike Brad Nailer, and was searching kijiji for the battery and charger. This seems like the cheapest way to get the battery and charger.

Depends on what you order. I ordered a Ryobi fan on Wed June 24, and received it on Fri June 26. I ordered a sprayer (knowing that it might be an issue) on Fri June 26. The order was confirmed but haven't received a shipping email and it is still being processed a full week later.

BTW,how do you cancel an order on Home Depot?

Found a comparable alternative that has a slightly bigger battery, but without the extras for $5 more and appears to be widely available. Added to OP.

Where did you find the $199 kit?
