****Starts Dec 12****

Not a bad price, includes a 2" clamp. Heavy users may want to spend the extra on the arguably higher quality Kreg system.

Amazon reviews are mostly positive.

What the heck does this do-hickey do? I guess if I don't know, I don't need it.

Eh that's nice, I have the single Kreg jig but I'd buy this one just for the clamp alone lol

Can anyone comment on quality?

I literally used my Kreg jig last night. Hadn’t used it since the summer. For light users the full package is idiot proof. This one looks like more measuring and clamping is required which usually equals more mistakes.

A pocket Hole jig is a lifetime investment. $150ish bucks for the kreg jig is a no brainer.

It makes a slanted hole at the edge of a board so you can cleanly pass a screw into the adjoining perpendicular board to hold them together . For making shelves etc

It seems out of your budget until you bungle a project you have been working on so it’s either extra time or more money to get more wood. I am speaking from experience when I bought a cheap doweling jig vs my Dowelmax.

K4 is $139 at lee valley. Usually at wood shows you can get into the $110 range. Lee valley also put their gift certificates on for 10-20% off on Black Friday or Boxing Day and I believe Kreg stuff is eligible.

I saved my pennies for mine and bit the bullet when it was on sale close to 10 years ago. No regrets vs my cheapie version I have of it. Dowel plus pocket holes = knock down furniture or if you add glue nothing is ever coming apart.
