Home internet in Calgary

Longtime Telus customer. Generally happy with the value - 550gb/month at 75mpbs for $35/month.
Discounts expire end of August which means posted price of $90/month.
What is the best I can get out of Telus? I would be happy to continue.
Dont mind signing a contract for same or lower pricing.
Shaw can provide higher speed in my area - 300 or 600mbps, Telus can not.
Dont mind going with Shaw for similar pricing, with or without contract.
Whats the best Shaw is doing for those switching from Telus?
Costco one is inferior I believe.
Usual Reps have not responded to my message.
75mbps and 500gb/month is all I need.
Thanks (:

My experience with TELUS is that their loyalty and retention folks are pretty good.

I was with TELUS in Calgary for 8 years before moving east last year. I was on 75 Mbps and never paid higher than $40/month, and was never under contract. I threatened to cancel every time my promotion was about to end, and always got offered a new promotion.

Call TELUS. Say you want to cancel your service. Get connected with the loyalty department. They should offer you a new deal.

It looks like their publicized promotions right now are crap, though, so YMMV.

I understand. I definitely used to have a Shaw promotion to point to if I had to, and Telus always either met or beat Shaw's promotion at the time.
