Honda Accord EX 2016 central console dead

The console as highlighted in the pic is dead. Nothing was done on the car recently to cause this.. have restarted the car 100 times nothing... It's completely black, no light nothing..
I would not have even bothered with it except that shows the reverse cam which I desperately need.

Any idea any one.. thank you all in advance..

It's probably just dead. Have you tried reading the error code? Best solution is to just replace that screen. Can probably find one in a junk yard.
Before you speak: THINK
T = is it True?
H = is it Helpful?
I = is it Inspiring?
N = is it Necessary?
K = is it Kind?

Probably simple to replace yourself with basic tools and a used screen. I changed out my friend's cracked screen in their Chevy Volt in about 20 minutes with the help of a YouTube video.

But in between car restarts it for a fraction of seconds appears to turn on with some light white screen appearing.. that's for few miliseconds and then nothing...just black screen of death... Let's see if someone else comes up with some advice

You don't think that changing it with another one will fix the issue?

I personally think you have 2 options:
1 - Change it and hopefully that fixes the problem
2 - Live with it the way it is

Imagine a world where you had to touch the gas pedal to reset the choke before starting your car... And where you had to use mirrors to backup.....

Hehe.. I can imagine that world.. but that world was lot less populated with vehicles and thus backing up was little easier.. with the amount of trafiic n little kids in my neighborhood..... I need the reverse cam...

If the other screen works, then it's likely that its a broken screen or cable

see if you can grab a replacement, and remember to test it before re-assembling everything
When given enough time, all threads on RFD can and will go off on a tangent.

I tried to check the fuses under dashboard.. ended up losing one fuse.. was a hassle for me to do this simple task.. I would need to go-to a decent car electric guy... Any recommendations around Toronto n GTA??

Screen could be logic locked.

Try to disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes, then reconnect it.

Imagine going out the stable, finding your saddle, getting your horse hoping it had a good night and will co-operate..... Times change advances are made. LOL

Full disclosure never had a car with electric windows or locks until 2016 and still do not own one with a backup camera or any of the other nanny options. That does not mean I would NOT become quickly adapted to them. I could not imagine owning a vehicle without power mirrors. Driving while reaching out the passenger to adjust that mirror perfectly belongs on the ash heap of history LOL.

Ok here is another update on this:
I took it to Honda and they spent 1 hour on it, charged me 130+tax.
They said they can't find the fault and need a lengthy time slot to diagnose. Which will cost 130+tax per hour and they can't guarantee hours needed. I rejected and came home.

Few days later I presses sun/moon button next to radio and the backup cam screen switched on.
This worked for nearly 3 days and it dead again, with the same fix not working.
any suggestions anyone?

Another thing to try is rebooting the radio by holding down the power button for at least 3 seconds and clicking 'Yes' when it asks if you want to reboot. ... I think these steps are for the 2016 CR-V but may work with the Accord.
