Asking because I just got 2 of the Hampton Bay ones from HD recently and they seem decent enough although I don't have the Honeywell ones make a comparison.
The size will probably make the Hampton quieter and more powerful. But regardless, they are probably made in the same factory anyways.

I agree that pet hair (not just cats) can cause fan issues, but I don't see why this specific fan would be any more susceptible to those issues than any other fan.

Thanks for linking the video. I had one of these fans die on me recently and I couldn't figure out how to remove the clip holding the fan in

Thanks! Can't believe I paid $24.99 for this same item last month. Excellent little fan that delivers on its promise to circulate air when you pivot it as recommended. Must-have when used in conjunction with a portable or window air conditioner.
Please do not @ me, thank you

I unboxed my fan today and i am noticing its speed is 3xtimes lesser than the older one i am using past 4 years,

1st speed setting of my older fan = 3rd setting of this newer one, but its silent have anyone experienced this? I needed more power and speed. I thought it will be same? have they changed the hardware or what? I bought it from Amazon $14 deal

It's weak, yes.

However, many people are using it like my employees.

Close to their desks, pointed at or near them.

The lower RPMs also make for minimal noise when compared to office background noise.
I aim to be inclusive and considerate of others in my posts. If I fall short of that mark, feel free to let me know in good faith, and where appropriate, I'll edit my posts. Thank you.

There's no easy way, unfortunately.

I'm sorry, I think they weakened these units to make them quieter for offices and enclosed environments.

I sympathize, as I would've preferred a stronger breeze when I was younger.

The fan was delivered today and after reading Ridinginoffice7 and Cronos647, you guys scared me. So I went to test it out.

I thought the strength of the fan to be okay. And I can tell you guys for a fact that the Honeywell HTF210BC unit that is on sale at Amazon for $24 is 5x worst than HT900C (if you think the fan isn't powerful).

No it's not? lol. You can say a prius is powerful enough for you, but that doesn't make it powerful.
