[Hong Kong Airlines] YVR to HKG Return $550, Side Trip to TPE $562

[Hong Kong Airlines] YVR to HKG Return $550, Side Trip to TPE $562

I was searching for cheap flights to Asia for my yearly trip back to HK. I generally go at least a couple weeks to at most 3 months at a time. Here are the deals, for example: YVR to HKG Return at $550 and YVR to HKG, side trip to TPE (Taipei) for a week and back for $12 more!

I generally go "elsewhere" in China or South East Asia each time I go back... use AirAsia, Cebu, Tiger Airways, etc to get around. Or take this. YVR to HKG, with a side trip to BKK, it's almost $200 more than the Taipei trip, but very comparable to what you would pay for other LCC.

Update: The dates are flexible and I just did another search, you can add other cities to the mix instead of TPE or BKK!
Examples - Places such as Phnom Penh, Saigon, Seoul, Okinawa, Osaka, Tokyo and other South East Asian cities HK Airlines flies to.
I haven't tried it, but it should also work with the Australian/New Zealand and other routes as long as it's a DIRECT flight.

The cheapest so far is TPE, and then any "China location", there are other options other than BKK, such as Phnom Penh/Saigon.
You can even do an open jaw between the two cities, it gets better! See screenshot for example of BKK>SGN open jaw!

OOps... That's the thing I didn't add into the post, the search website - I did this through www.momondo.ca and did a multiple flight search (4 seperate flights). This is not the booking website, it's just like Kayak, it brings you to the booking website you choose and select from there... You may also want to search other sites such as Kayak as well to see if there's a cheaper flight with the same times. The OTA (online travel agency) you want to purchase from is listed on Momondo.ca or Kayak.ca. If you get FlightNetwork for example, you can purchase from them.
