A lot of the recent IPOs are related to private equity investors wanting to cash out rather than about investing in the business. It's a loss making business and I don't really see how they can get out of bleeding cash as they are in a market that has a a lot of players which cater to higher net worth individuals and could lower commission prices overnight.

So much this... Read an article today that this has been the biggest cash grab IPO in memory. Of course I can't find the article now....

This guy is such a piece of ****. They have lost all credibility and will never heal the trust they broke, no matter how many times he tells us about when he was a boy in Bulgaria. This was all just a way for them to make bank before the whole thing implodes.

1 - Classic examples of people not reading. I'm referring those on RFD and in general everywhere, so don't feel like I'm pointing any one person out.

2 - Classic example of people not understanding English. Same caveat.

(a) Where do the shares for newly publicly listed companies come from?
(b) "Flip" definition "1. turn over with a sudden quick movement."

Have the founders or seed investors done this? NO

3 - Relying on someone else to do your thinking and not doing your own homework. You get what you put in.

What point are you trying to get across? Whether this move was legal or not isn’t really the issue. The issue is that launching a campaign about trying to save their image, about how they’ve changed and then turning around day 1 and cashing in, is just a horrible image. It shows they aren’t even convinced that things will go well and are hedging their bet in their own company.

Vlad wasn't the only officer selling either... Baiju Bhatt sold 1,250,000 shares @ $36.40 too.

Vlad still has over $2b in stock, and can get another $4b over the next few years. I wouldn't sweat him cashing some pocket change out. Dude might want to buy a yacht, or book a ride on the next Blue Origin. We talk about locking in profits all the time in this sub, who among us wouldn't have squirreled away a little bit of cheddar when they could? Heck, I prob would have sold a lot more.

All this random money going into random names.

Meanwhile, completely profitable companies that are even increasing their margins and profits are going sideways because they are boring lol.

The meme crowd isn’t driving this despite what the media would want you to believe. This is all HFs or market makers.
