[Amazon.com] Hot!! Amazon.com - $19.99 Panasonic TY-TP10U Plasma Touchpen - $35.16 Shipped

This is perfect for the new Panasonic S60 and S64 Plasmas some of us purchased recently. ;)

Compatible with all 2013 Viera Plasmas

The TouchPen usually sells for $99 here in Canada, but on Amazon.com it is on sale for $24.99. It will ship to Canada.

My cost to Montreal is $43.16 which includes shipping and duty fees. Buy 2 and it comes to $38.16 each

UPDATE: PRICE LOWERED, NOW $19.99

Sweet! Just bought the S64 last week. Have no idea what I'd use this for, but thanks for the deal

Check out the video on YouTube. It's practically a smart board. They have games for the kids too.

Lol, the pen has soft tip and can't scratch the screen.

There's always a chance dirt/debris can get on the end and scratch the screen. I've never seen this before but it looks pretty cool. Almost makes me wish I had a Panasonic TV.

Yes, but anything could happen. I should also tie down my Plasma in case one of my kids tips it over.

I guess the gamepad from the Viera app maybe safer to use for games with the kids.

I was about to buy this until I came to the realization I'll never end up using it

I just bought a Panasonic 65" start of DEcember. If it was 10 years ago and my kids were smaller I would get this, but now its just something that I would have and maybe used a couple times and then not used again. TV is used for my home theatre and gaming, so while cool would just be a pointless toy

2014 is the year I stop impulse buying (so I say :-)

I know with the built in wireless smartphones and computers can hook up to it. Son discovered that when he was sitting and it asked to connect to his phone

While a cool feature, doubt something I will use

The technology is cool but it looks like such a gimmick, I don't really see anyone using this on a regular basis.

At this price, it's worth the gimmick aspect of it.

Imagine the possibilities - Pictionary or Win Lose or Draw, Whiteboard for learning, demonstrations, score keeping etc....

For me, just having it available opens opportunities for future usage like Business and Seminar demonstrations

To each his own, I guess ;)

The alone is pretty much my only reason... lol.

I think I've made worse impulse buys before.

Yes, but total shipped is still 1/3 of what it sells for here in Canada.

Price is back up to $44.79.

I would have bought it if this product were not of such a limited use. It is useable only on Panasonic plasma TV's since it is using proprietary technology and it only works on 2013 plasmas, nothing older. On the other hand Panasonic is not making plasma anymore in 2014. So I would say that this product has no use beyond the TV I am using now.

Add to that if I were using this for presentation, a similar result can be done with Miracast where the touch pen works I do on a tablet or laptop would be mirrored on TV.
