but the real question is what the display resolution is.
Official Response from Dollarama Management:

Dollarama has a no exchange/no refund policy, and as a result, all sales are final. This information can be found on the screen of each check-out/point-of-sale in our stores as well as on each receipt.

The display resolution is probably HD.
not to mention the ability to class a low-resolution 1366x768 laptop as "HD" is one of the greatest scams ever perpetrated on pc computing. basic, non-hd 1280x800 15" screens from 2003 actually have a *slightly higher* pixel density compared to a brand-new 1366x768 15.6" screen in 2015. now that's a spicy downgrade!

Why is IBM selling Dell Laptops? Maybe since they sold their laptop division to Lenovo when they needed laptops to use they bought Dell and are just selling off their own used equipment.

I am on a Dell E6430 as we speak. It's an i5 processor. Good solid machine. Comparable to Thinkpads. Amazing keyboard experience.

Amazing keyboard experience.
I definitely agree on that, which is why I'm trying to get as many older ones as I can before I have to rely on the latest latitudes, which inexplicably moved to the horrible chiklet design to save money.

When I worked there, almost all devs had W.

The CPU definitely is a Sandy Bridge if the model number is correct. Also it should support max 8GB ram instead of 4GB. If you max it out this should still be a pretty good machine if you can stand the low res screen.

That's because HD is 720P or higher, so technically they are not wrong. Blame the TV broadcasters for that one. This model can only be upgraded to a 900P screen though so no 1080P here (though this was the norm at the time).

IBM will lease you whatever you like pretty much. These machines have probably paid for themselves several times over.

I'm currently using a E6420 for work and I can tell you that between the DELL and the Lenovo, I would go for the Lenovo.

The E6420 is like carrying around a brick with a crappy keyboard and lots of heat coming off the unit.
