This deal is pretty awesome! Reg price is $1299.99 on MSStore or $1399.99 on Dell's website for this Dell XPS 13.3 inch laptop. It’s an ultra portable laptop so it’s not designed to store your 1TB “videos” - but the SSD will be excellent for speed during school or work use.
Screen size 13.3 in Full HD InfinityEdge anti-glare touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass NBT (1920 x 1080), 10-finger multi-touch support
Intel Core i5-7200U 3MB cache, up to 3.10 GHz
Memory 8GB 1866 MHz LPDDR3
Hard drive size 128GB SSD
Operating system Windows 10 Home, 64-bit
Dell claims up to 18hrs battery life!
I would buy myself one but.... my Lenovo E570 is still going strong from last year's epic deal :P Hope this helps someone out!

I see these things are still over priced for what you get

Darn why can't Dell have a sale like this, looking for a non-touch 8th gen. Great price though, don't expect it to last long.

If you don't need an 8th gen quad core CPU or > 8 GB RAM, this is a pretty good deal. You can always upgrade the SSD to something bigger if you need.

Hoth
7th Gen not hot? Well 8th Gen is still pretty new so 7 gen are now a bargain. Nothing wrong with 7th gen at all.

Yup, retail price is inflated but last month they went pretty fast at $799 so definitely a hot deal. My 5th gen still looks and works like new, still perhaps the best design for a 13".

MS Store does not sell non-touch, this is glossy touchscreen weighing 2.9lbs.

Actually - I’m just citing the websites regular price not my own ficticious price. It’s $700 off when ordered from Dell’s website. I posted the link so hopefully that’s “realistic” enough for you.

the one thing that seems to be holding me back is the video output is thru USB-C.
A quick search on amazon shows these USB-C to HDMI or DVI cables are running $15-20 each! is that right?
So, If you have a work setup and a home setup, you'll need to add another $30-40 on just new video cables!

Non-upgradeable memory (like a lot of other laptops on the market these days)
No swappable battery (like a lot of other laptops on the market these days)
Poor key travel and tactility (like a lot of other laptops on the market these days)

Certain aspects of great hardware design have been thrown out the window. I miss laptops from the pre-Apple-unibody days.

It seems glossy touchscreen. Out of consideration for me. I cannot live with one and I have several laptops.
