I hope this deal is legit...

Any word if Wind will release the 9780 before this promo ends?

i'm interested in the plan, but not the phones.

i wouldn't mind using windtab if they had an iphone or a good android phone (not a blackberry fan).

hmmm....have to think about it a bit more....

yeah kinda in the same boat. I've narrowed it down to two phones that I'm interested in, since I'd like an android phone:

This one got some ok reviews (but just ok), it's $450(?) on their website. I wonder what the WindTab subsidy would bring it to?

http://www.techradar.com/reviews/phones ... ?artc_pg=7

and then there's this very low end one:
http://mobilesyrup.com/2010/08/04/wind- ... available/

At $150, I can't imagine it would do more than google maps and calls.

-someone said that you can't even use iPhone's on their network..

I just signed got another contract on my rogers 3 days ago (dec 7th) through retentions, is there anyway of getting out of it? or atleast get it to my old plan and cancel from there? i remember reading somewhere on RFD you have a few days to get outta a contract in the first few days. They also never told me it was gonna renew my contract they just said they were gonna change my plan.

I wouldn't get the xt720, since it won't be updated to 2.2...and it is super laggy without overclocking. I had one and I sold it last week. If you want to spend the money on android I would either wait for the nexus s or just get a nexus one from mobilicity (it comes unlocked).

i guess there's no word of wind selling the nexus s or nexus one in the future? i don't want to spend $500+ on a phone.

windtab would atleast help with some of the costs.

maybe i'll try and see if i can use my bell htc touch with wind for a while until they get a phone i like. i like the plan and don't want it to expire.

a fair number of posts over at hofo aren't thrilled with that phone. I can't say I'm thrilled with their phone's at all.
Unless I hit up a Blackberry, for me at least, this deal becomes somewhat less hot, since I'll need to buy a 300-400 dollar non-pos phone.

Don't get me wrong, I'll never see UL data at 40 bucks any time in the near future, but it's more like 5.5 to 6GB of data since
it's throttled once you hit 5. And the lower price is compensation for the time you go to Cross iron Mills or Airdire and get hit with roaming :)

I'm really contemplating this plan, especially since my plan with Rogers expires next month and I'm more than willing to pay the ECF. My only concern is how they say the plan could change at any time without notice...does anybody have any advice regarding this?

Is a credit card REQUIRED? Most plans seem to - no good for me.
