Not bad. It would be hotter if it wasn't excluded from the sale.

1080 p on a 42 is useless anyways unless you sit 4.5 ft away and videot out all the time , 720p and 60hhz is fine, add an upconverting dvd or even a cheap blue ray player and enjoy the set for a cheap price
How can I be broke when I am saving so much?

Wow, this is a great deal and I can speak from experience that this whole 720p vs. 1080p is mostly hype for 99% of situations.

My in-laws just bought a Sony Bravia 52" 1080p LCD, and while it's an extremely nice display, I can't really see the difference between this and a 42" 720p, other than when using Blu-ray and from really close. Quality LCDs with "colour pop" and high contrast are far more important than higher resolution.

Plus, I really love the LG SD/XD engine, which is one of best in the biz.

How are you going to do that? The sale ends today, Dec 9. If I were you, I would order one online for in-store pickup now. Your credit card won't get charged until you pickup the tv. Do not pickup the tv. Hang on to the order confirmation as proof and bring it to Best Buy on Dec 11 and see if they will pm and also let you use the $50 off coupon.

I bought this tv last saturday for $765, pricematched Visions' sale.
Nice tv, not a big fan on the zoom features when compared to my Panny Plasma Full Justification for SDTV, but still a nice picture.

Now to get my $65 back, thanks OP.

Just found out that ISPU is not an option for this tv. You should run to Best Buy to pm right now and go back on Friday to see if they would let you do a return and re-purchase using the coupon on Dec 11. You have until 10AM before Future Shop's sale ends.

Hmm I notice that when you add a TV to your cart. It MUST be shipped. I can't seem to select the Pick up option. Anyone have any idea? Could it be my settings or something?

Same here... I guess lots of people will be hoping for the same too... and if that's true (and deals like that is available) it is going to be one crazy boxing day sale (fight) going to happen...

I always turn off all these settings that fake contrast/color before I calibrate.
