Not at all, go look up the recent footage of the game. It's a completely new game. Canonically it's a "reboot", but the game itself was built from the ground up for PS4.

I have a feeling this will be the going price, or maybe they just discounted it before E3, and won't include it in the sales.

Since my friend ask me these questions, I figured some of you may want to know too...

1. Shipped and fulfilled by Amazon.
2. Amazon bills you when it ships (not in advance). If the Amazon price is lower at time of shipping, you will be billed for the lower price. See their Pre-order Guarantee

Since when did regular games retail $79.99? I almost feel guilty for paying $40 for Witcher 3 on GoG.

It's just a placeholder date. The game releases close to when the movie comes out. Movie comes out April 29, 2016.

The MSRP was going to $39.99USD anyways; getting this for $40CAD is about 20%, assuming that the official Canadian launch price is going to be $50.

This is a not a "remastering" a la The Last of Us by any means. This is a PS2 game that's being remade that's probably going to incorporate stuff from the upcoming movie since this is "the game, based on the movie, based on the game".

The developpers said it will be 10-12 hours long.

It won't be short like Into the Nexus or Quest for Booty.

I don't understand your thought process. Put the pre-order down. If you want it in 1yr+ then you get it. If it goes cheaper than the current price you cancel and place your preorder there. If you don't want it, you cancel it. Hell, if you forget you ordered it and it's shipped out, you return it for free.

What are you losing by not preordering?

Haha I stopped pre-ordering like crazy for this reason. Bestbuy sure doesn't make your life easier when it comes to know which of your orders are still open.
