Maybe "Scandinavia" is also the name of the shipping company because my North American shipping information is still intact even after selecting the "Scandinavia" shipping option.

I'd be very cautious. 2checkout isn't a tier one credit card processor. I would at least wait until people receive their laptops from them.

I'd recommend caution as well... in all honesty, there are way too many question marks hanging over this offer.

Please continue to post details here.

Well, it seems to be a fraud. Not definite but like everyone says, proceed with caution.
This 'deal' has been slashdotted here:

and going quickly over the thread there definitely does seem to be some funny business.
Copied and pasted straight from Slashdot (which was itself copied and pasted from engadget)

*Could* be legit.

No battery right? No Windows (saves $100 right there) Via PN chipset (saves another $50) 256MB ram and and old Celeron processor...

Reminds me of the old $99US I-opener PC, people shot that one down, but that one was legit too.

It says it comes with a battery.
POWER - Full Range 65W AC adapter - AC input 100~240V, 47~63Hz, DC output 20V, 3.25A, Removable 6-cell Smart Li-ion battery pack, 4000/4400mAh
It would be cool if it was legit.

How is it confirmed legit?

I just did some brief checking and am very skeptical of this company. Sure, there could be "explainations" for everything but I like my 150$ too much to waste.

As been previously noted by a poster "Chris" at Engadget, the company has only existed for a couple of weeks. ( http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/02f0d ... ompdetails )

Secondly, the "business address" of this company has two problems. First, it seems to be a residential address. This is a property listing for a Ruffets Wood address, and this doesn't look like any computer manufacturer I've ever seen. http://uk.propertyfinder.com/2/pf/prope ... _DETAILS&=

Secondly, the same address is being used by a variety of companies, all with limited information or sounding very sketchy, and having been incorporated for brief periods within the last 2 years. Sure, maybe some guy lives there and rents out his address to many corporations as a mailer. Maybe it's a gigantic hi-tech complex smack dab in the middle of a residential street. (And miraculously occupying only the "27" section.) But there's other, less savory assumptions one could draw that could be believed more easily.

I kinda stopped searching at this point, so there may be more. But it looks far too unreliable to me. I don't need a laptop badly enough to gamble 150$ at a thousand-to-one odds.

Moved to computers an electronics as there's no confirmation that this deal is legit so it's just a discussion for now. If it deal turns out to be real, I'll move it back to hot deals.

Its times like these that I wish I had a low limit credit card.

If anyone orders up, definitely post back your experiences.

Don't risk your money.

I know it hasn't been "proven" either fake or legit yet, but RFD shouldn't be used to propagate scams, and 4-6 weeks is a long time. There's enough in the thread, in the Engadget comments, and Slashdot to cast some serious doubt on if this thing should be allowed to continue.
