House backing onto townhouses?

Anybody lived in a house backing onto townhouses? Buying new so I'm assuming I might have to worry about sharing fencing expenses with them...I could live with that but any other cons? If given a choice which would you pick?

Option A: backing onto townhouses, Hydro Box

Option B: backing onto single, Hydro box, cable box, light post

Well you obviously open yourself up to more neighbors potentially blasting music or throwing parties every night.

a future buyer would likely perceive backing on to town houses, assuming this is a detached we're talking about, as less desirable. Neutral perhaps, but unlikely a positive. since it means denser housing and usually cheaper housing.
