How are the analysts rated on TD Direct Investing web site?

It doesn't matter. Nothing that these analysts put out matters in the slightest to investors.

It looks like they are rating them on average rate of return?? I have seen this in my TD Waterhouse account as well and take it with a grain of salt.

I attended a few TD Direct Investing Masterclasseses and I'm going by memory here but as it was explained to the people who attended, these ratings are based on how they performed with their recommendations of stock picks (buy/sell/hold), etc. and how accurate their predictions were.

Personally, I look at their rating but it has a very small bearing on my decision on what to buy/sell/hold.
