It's not damaged, but it is badly dry rotted.
I would say it's unsafe to use and should be disposed of.

Yup. Not Safe. Time for new ones.

I'm curious, what's the production date on those?

Wait for the spring sales (normally end of March) ... get a brand new set of 4 ... sell the old ones (somebody will buy them for a lease vehicle that is going to be returned or somebody will buy them for a vehicle that they will trade in to the dealership).

Only a half assed inspector for the dealership will accept these tires for a lease return or trade in, only a fool would waste money on these tires.

When I traded in my vehicle in 2015 ... they never bothered to inspect the vehicle (2004 Lancer with 182000km) at all ...

I guess it really depends.

That because it probably went straight to the scrapyard.

Funny ... I did see it rolling off the lot a week after I traded it in ... I was at the dealership (to pick up my car mats) the same day and saw a guy driving away with it ... the tires were more than likely swapped out by the dealership.

Thanks. For comparison, by the end of 2017 my all-seasons from 2011 needed to be replaced. Also because of cracking in between the treads.
